Rare Kaaba Gate Plaque on Display in Makkah

A rare pure gold plaque, which adorned the top of the Holy Kaaba’s gate over three centuries ago, is now on display at the Exhibition of the Two Holy Mosques Architecture in Makkah. Dating back to 1707 A.D., the artifact comprises six interconnected pieces mounted on an iron base and features engraved Qur’anic verses. This exhibit highlights the historical preservation efforts and architectural evolution of the Holy Kaaba across different Islamic eras, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich heritage.
