Corrections Policy

Our Commitment to Accuracy

News Bites publishes four editions a day, every day. Speed matters to us, but accuracy matters more. Every story is reviewed by a human editor before publication, and every story links back to its original source so you can verify the facts for yourself.

Even with careful review, mistakes can happen — a figure transcribed incorrectly, a name misspelled, a detail that changes after publication. When they do, we believe the right response is to fix them quickly and say so openly, not to quietly edit and hope no one noticed.

How We Handle Mistakes

When an error is identified in a published story, we follow the same process every time:

  1. The error is corrected in the live story as soon as it is identified.
  2. A visible correction note is added to the story, stating what the original version said, what it was corrected to, and when.
  3. The original story is never deleted or unpublished. Transparency about a correction matters more than hiding that a mistake happened.
  4. For significant errors — a wrong figure that was shared widely, or a misattributed quote — we will also acknowledge the correction on our social channels.

How to Report an Error

If you spot something that looks wrong in any News Bites story, please tell us. Email hi@shaheenbs.com with a link to the story and a brief description of the issue. We review every report and aim to action genuine corrections promptly.

Stay Informed. Stay Ahead.
